Default Recovery hooks - are they back?

Hey, just on car sales and spotted a brand new overland with recovery hooks. I thought it may be a stock image but I'm pretty sure there are gum trees in the background and it has a drive car of the year sticker on the window.

Are they back or is some type of aftermarket item that the dealer is doing?

There was a story going around recently that some vehicles destined for the NZ market (that have the recovery hooks) got off loaded in Aus instead. Not sure if that's true or not.

The Jet version from memory also came into Aus with recovery hooks. It seems to just depend on which production line the base chassis comes off.

Must be production line or something. My 2012 Jet didn't come with recovery hooks.
