Default The ABS works

I just felt I had to share this. Last night, driving home from work, it was absolutely bucketing down here in Canberra. There had been accidents everywhere.

My wife was driving the Jeep and had left enough distance between us and the car in front, when the car in front suddenly slammed on the brakes! She of course hit the anchors as well. You could hear the ABS groaning and we ended up stopping no more than an inch behind the car in front of us. I must say that I was extremely impressed that a 2+ tonne vehicle was able to stop in such a short distance from 50km/h without losing traction at all in the driving rain. She was a bit shaken up, but is now far more confident in the Jeep, knowing that it will perform when it has to.

Previous cars I have owned have not performed as well under emergency braking in the wet.

I'm pretty pleased. Just had to share it with you guys!

Good to hear Taprod. It was a fun trip home at about 4:30 in Civic.
