Have had the ECU West tune from Murchinsons in my MY14 since 100k. This tune disables the EGR. I was thinking of a DPF removal if and when it ever had problems.

Things have changed now with the influx of SUV's and dual cab utes as the preferred family car. The authorities have picked up on the aftermarket removal of DPF's and are now policing it. Have heard of the DPF having a pipe knocked through it. Just like they did on petrol cats. This way the DPF is in place so roadside inspection would pass. Doubt it would pass the sniffer though.

right, so the issue wasnt my EGR leaking, was a hose buried somewhere way down near the turbo had split causing coolant to squirt onto exhaust hence, no dripping of fluid and no smoke out the back.

Eitherway, EGR = gone now anyway (i mean fixed) and tuned! pick her up this afternoon after a full service front to back, tune EGR and cannot wait to take her for a spin!

Was this that nasty little rubber joiner under the turbo? I don't know why car makers still use them, the old Turbo MR2 had the same issue

It was actually under the inlet manifold in the valley there - about 50mm long hose had a tiny split in it...

the moment of truth (for some reason I cant work out the picture thing...)

just under 180kw at all four wheels.

It started with 130kw at all four wheels.

Its safe to say, its a VERY different car now and is very exciting to drive!

highly recommend Coolum Motors if anyone is wanting a tune, at the moment its $1250 including a free iDrive as well!

Wow, 180kw at the treads, it must be an animal!
What's the fuel consumption like?
