Hey,
I have a original Jeep centre console for a CJ.
It does have a speaker at the rear about 70mm square.
It should be in my for sale adds under "NOS nutmeg cj floor mats"
If you can't find it I can send pics...

There's an OEM console advertised on Gumtree at present for $250.
The price is over the top, but might be worth trying to negotiate with the seller.

Good ones come up on ebay from the US if you're not in a hurry - e.g. I picked one up after a few months of looking, great condition, no cracks, holes, splits, missing rivets, etc for AU$160 inc postage.
Good deals do come up.
