Ok good point, I might edit the OP as well.
I've got a 3" lift, and 33" Nitto's. I probably don't need a cylinder assist, I was more thinking along the lines of something like this
http://www.pscmotorsports.com/07-17-...-gear-box.html - Just a replacement box with a bigger cylinder which would in theory not wear out as quickly.
I got up under there the other day on my mechanic/mates hoist, and there definitely appears to be some play in the actual steering box. Additionally there is a bit of wear in the joins between box and the pitman arm, pitman and drag arm, and the bit where the drag arm attaches to the wheel whatever thats called.
Do you reckon its worthwhile replacing the bushes in those joins before looking at a replacement box?
Also is it worth getting a bracket or something for the pitman arm considering 3" of lift?
