B&M Precision shifter
Just came across this
http://www.bmracing.com/products/451...port-wrangler/
Have had no problems with gears popping out but the shifters always felt pretty mushy, 5th gear is a bit scary for me because the knob can tend to slam into the side of my knee with the big wobble. Sounds like a fix and tempted to give it a go, from what I can tell the manufacturer is reasonably well respected, the blue looks nice. Anyone running one of these or any thoughts on it?

I am interested in more info on these too.
Are they supplied or available from a local vendor?

I had been in communication with B&M about a short shifter about 12m before it came out. I kept messaging on their FB page asking them to bring a short shifter out for the JK, and they eventually told me yes they're RnDing one which was great news. They kindly messaged me when it was first avail on their website, which I was all excited about until I saw the price... I still don't have one as I feel it is too expensive (for me anyway). My shifter does not have the typical bad symptoms that others complain about anyway, I just wanted a shorter throw and more positive feel, but not for $700ish AUD, if it did then I'd prob get one.
This is a good vid of a guy installing it:

Not as yet or at least that I can find, the shipping cost isn't too bad on them but nothing to suggest they would eat that in the case of a replacement

Yeah it's tough, gets used all the time so could be a lot of value in it but it also doesn't really do anything new

I had one of these in my modified Falcon XR6 Turbo and it was great but honestly, I don't see the point of one in a Wrangler. It's not as if you need short sharp shifts for racing at the lights. It's also very expensive.
Get yourself a second shifter shaft and cut it down an inch. You'll be surprised at how it will transform how your shift feels.

It is a way to rectify the shifter popping out of first gear, not to go racing.
I have 2 2008 6 speeds. The higher Km one jumps out of first. The other one doesn't.
There was a TSB for new shifter mech and 1st gear synchro but only if it was raised as issue under warranty (I think).
