Thanks for all the input guys!
Yeah, I was already going back and forth between the 285/70 and the 315/70.
Before I bought the jeep I fell in love with the 35" on the 2 door. It kind of sticks to my brain when trying to figure out what I really want. But given all the input I read I start to think I'd better focus on Performance over Clearance and "beefy looks".
Maybe I'm indeed better off going for a 2" lift, 285/70r17 KO2, 4.10 gears and extra recovery gear that suits my needs, 'cause I am not really interested in rock-crawling.
Already have an high clearance front bumper and the AEV rear, so smart driving could take me quite far indeed.
Clutch will be upgraded no matter what by an NPC HD.
And I was thinking about the ECU tune already, but first I want to learn more about all the things that could possible break with all that extra "oomph".
And I'm not really trying to rush things as opposed to what some might think
, the 3 week alpine trip is somewhere late August 2018 'cause that's the safest period to cross the highest pass (JULY->AUGUST could still have loads of snow and thick fog).
BTW: Got my eyes on the Warn M-8000s, thought this would be an excellent option for a two door coupled with a snatchblock or two. Feel free to prove me wrong.
