Yeah, even though my weld had started to crack, the door hadn't moved, so I just welded it where it was. Its great to be able to open the door without that creaking cracking noise each time.

I had to pull out my "new" long range tank and fit a new sender unit seal as it was leaking, then it got a long over due wash and polish and then I re-did the leaf packs with the Xf Falcon 2nd longest leaf in with the 5 leaves already there, it now gives me 6 leaves and a height of 20" at the back.
So that is now 3" over standard and 2" over sport, now it is only .25" lower on the drivers side compared to the passenger side which I can fix with small spacers.
Has anybody relocated the spare from the drivers side to the passenger side in pre-update?
I am also going to try and fit a battery where the filter box normally resides and fab a custom filter box to mount above the rocker cover and draw air directly from a GU Patrol style scoop....

Any one got any thoughts on these proposed mods?

Last weekend but we changed the clock spring in dads XJ.

Not a very hard job to do, required a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off but everything else is pretty straigh forward.

we got the clockspring from the US for $200 shipped - genuine MOPAR part.

Fitted a Falcon cargo barrier I found in a skip, not a bad fit and best of all it was free!

Talking Mundaring Powerline

Yesterday we took a spin up to the Mundaring Powerline track, 12Ks of great 4W Driving, as difficult as you like, with some steep assents/descents. Recommended for a great day out! [Nr Perth]

Stood by my jeep proud as talking to another jeep owner....

I was spotted today. Not by a fellow AJOR member but buy another Jeeper. I was stopped at BP Morayfiled (southbound) and had trailer and 2 dirtbikes on back. I parked next to a Black GrandCherokee with trailer. When I returned to the car the guy was there. He said "nice Jeep, I had one of them (XJ)". I regret selling it for this (Grand). We spoke for a bit and then went our ways.

Nice to run into a fellow enthusiast.
