Exclamation Please help

Hey guys having some trouble with my mums 2006 3.0ltr crd comander so a few weeks ago the alternater died so replaced that (not a fun task) then whilst under the hood decided to take care of some problems as this car has had a hard life before we got it.

so serviced it put some ingector cleaner in the tank and fixed a boost leak or to now after about an hour to and hour and a half of driving the vehicle starts to surge and the vehicle becomes almost undriveable left scratching my head as i have not been in the vehicle when it dose it has an engine light on did have a flashing red lightning bolt on the dash until i fixed the boost leak have tried to use the on board diagnostics system but shows no codes really beating my head against to wall trying to figure it out any help would be much appreciated

You won't get any codes using the key trick with a CRD.

I would put money on it being the turbo actuator.
When you turn the motor off can you here it cycle?

It possibly could be the swirl motor but I would think it would be stuck in limp mode if that was the case.
There is a bypass for the swirl you can try.

Get the BlueDriver app for your phone or this https://appcar-diagfca.com/en/ for your laptop if you want to read CRD codes.

Note: I have purchased Diagfca but as yet haven't used it so I'm hoping I'm not recommending a dud product, waiting on a OBD dongle that it will work with.

Yes can hear the actuator and the swirl motor has been disconnected by the previous owner apparently after the vehicle was sunk in a lake trying to lanch a boat but thats a story for the never buy a car from a car yard thread

The actuator still may be faulty, there will be a code so you need to get a reader or all we can do is guess.

Spend some time resolving your leaks from the intake pipe that goes from the filter to the turbo. The PCV input is in the driver's side just before the turbo, these can call all sorts of grief.

I also found my fuel filter leaked at the water sensor, because someone had cut the O rings off with a knife and damaged the groove. If your filter is leaking then check this out.
