Default finally got one
Well i finally bit the bullet and bought me a fridge, i went to BCF to buy my old man a xmas present and walked out with a 60l waeco and a transit bag for $1049, fits in the XJ beautifully, now i just got to get a dual battery setup sorted out and im happy, going to start on a small draw setup so we can get camping again.

How good a buy was it. we brought one for our trip also and it was the best price around by far. had it running for the last 2 days on 240 to make sure its all ok before the trip and it cools very quickly and is almost silent. money well spent..

yumpet, where are you thinking of putting the dual battery? under bonnet or in the backseat..

Worth remembering with fridges,our Chescold 3 way on our Aussie Swag camper 'died' after a few years but it seems that was my fault,as I only plugged it in when going on adventures. Bought a new Waeco in Cairns on our 'Gulf' trip in the XJ in 1999 and have'nt switched it off since.At home it sits plugged in to 240v keeping our dogs nice bones fresh and is always ready for trips (Use it L.C.M.P. Mud.Bulls.Music 1-5thNov)"What you don't use you lose"
