Default CRD motor mounts = V8 motor mounts?

I had my CRD at the mechanic today for getting a roadworthy. Looks like a lot of stuff is not ok, including the motor mounts.

I have 2 stet of motor mounts from the V8 and I wonder if these are the same or if they are different to the CRD?

The rubber isolators look identical but the housings they mount in are engine specific.

X2. I'm tempted to buy some OEM V8 mounts, get the inserts out and press them in the CRD mounts.

Here in Europe people are complaining about the quality of aftermarket mount inserts...

A number of years ago, Mudmonster got a couple of the inserts from another member of the group & used them in his XJ diesel. They were cheap & worked well. They were the horizontal cylindrical inserts. I believe they were used in grands. The most important thing is to get them up the right way.

Thanks for the infos. I have a pair of those solid poly bushings which I thought to use for the transfer case at one point. But I also have still 2 pairs of my old V8 engines. I guess they should be still ok. So i am thinking to cut the brackets open and remove the rubber inlay bushing and then replace them with the ones installed.

I just think it is a pain in the ass getting them out of the engine bay. The V8 had fairly easy access to tho the engine mounts but i saw some comments here where you have to remove quite a few parts before even getting access. On the other side the mechanic whats to have whooping 1100 Dollar for it....

Hmmm, cant recall that tbh. But could be that I have mine taken out when I removed the all parts in the engine bay.

I will have a look underneath the car and then decide what I am going to do. I think i put the sale on hold. I can then change all the part over the next couple of months and then re-try to sell it again. At least I know what I have to take care of.

Or I am going to one of these mobile guys. That was done when I bought it. All the issues I have now marked have already existed when I got the car. So it should not have gotten the roadworthy in the first place. They seem not be interested in really looking at the details but have this quickly done. Thats it. Saying that I am certainly will repair what would be dangerous. However this mechanic complained that my rear window does not work. WTF, what does this has to do with road security?
