Default Quadra-Lift.... Lift

OK, there has to be more than one person in Australia who has done this, it can't be that much of a strange thing to do..

I want to lift my Quadra-Lift JGC (WK2), as in, put a RRO 2" spacer kit, aparently it bolts straight on, no issues, that part is easy and not the issue, the issue it seems, is going to be using the off road hights and the computer not realising that the suspension is already lifted and trying to extend a further 3 inches above the already raised hight..

I was playing around with my ride hights last night, as I am fitting some 275/65/18's today, I wanted to level the front and raise the whole vehicle about an inch, took about 1 minute to do via an OBD2 tool and AlphaOBD.

However, when I put it in OR2, the computer didn't realise it was already lifted and kept trying to raise the vehicle (even though it was maxed out) until it overheated.. Now some people may say "just don't put it in OR2", well, putting your vehicle in "rock" mode, will automatically place you in OR2 and I use rock mode on almost every trip.

Has anyone (apart from that one guy on YouTube) put a spacer kit in a Quadra-Lift WK2, if so, how did you get around the computer?

Doesn't the spacer effectively go between the strut and body, thus raising the car however leaving the bags in the same ride height?
Surely there would be something you could do to the little rods to muck about with the height the car thinks it is once you've done this, using Alfa to change the ride height is effectively changing it's reference point for the standard ride height, thus it will top out if it hasn't got the legs in OR2.

Grippy is correct, it should just be a matter of modifying the rods on the sensors.

Thats my point, therefore if you have the spacer kit installed and then go into or2, it will raise an additional 3" above the 2 its already lifted causing all sorts of kaos on its way..

With regards to changing the reference point, thats what i thought would happen, i figured it would top out, but it didn't, i just kept trying to inflate until it overheated

I think what's happening is that when you reset its ride height setting the sensor has run out of sweep in or2 so it just keeps pumping trying to reach a sensor value it will never get too

I'm running the RRO 2" spacer kit and ORA rear shock relocation brackets with Airlinks replacement links.

The Airlinks alone pretty much negate OR2 as an option for me. For those times when I do have to select Rock mode, I simply override the computer and select OR1 myself.

I'm pretty sure if I play around with the settings via AlphaOBD there may be a way of negating the issue, but for now I am happy enough to manage the situation manually.

Any pics of your setup mate? I honestly find it so amazing that so few with quadralift have gone down this route, even when people ask about it all the time. Also surprising that no company has developed a full kit - one came out for the new Defender a month or so ago, 6mo after launch (and up to 6" of lift!)
