Hey Matt used 50 x 10 flat bar on it but on an angle so not to sure the actual height. Just tacked it on to gearbox mount end , bolted it up and tapped it around to i was happy with it. Then pulled it off and tacked where it bolts to crossmember square with other end if that makes any sense..

Sweet mate thanks.

Ill pull the stock skid off this weekend and have a good look at everything

Do you think if you ran a CV & SYE you would get vibes?

I thinking of making one without doing a body or engine lift but it will not tuck up a high as yours. Im hoping to have it hang down about 40-50mm but see how I go with measurements. I only have a 2.5” lift with CV SYE hoping vibes won’t be a problem when I tuck the box up as much as I can.

Gday mate this is the link with that other build idea.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=776123

He used 50x50 angle welded to some bent up plate for the skid, and 50x100 to make the crossmember but bolted it to the chassis.
I don’t like the drilling into the chassis idea he done so…..

I am thinking if I use your Gearbox mount modification idea and make up his 50x100 crossmember, But weld that to the 50x50 angle and bolt it all up to the existing 6 bolt holes in the chassis for the STD skid plate.

Then welding strong tabs with nuts to the crossmember and angle to bolt the skid plate up.

Hope all that mumbo jumbo makes sense
