Default Roof mounted lightbar

Heya peeps , so i've already done an extensive search through the forums and haven't really seen anyone do it . My htx230's are just too big and heavy for the chief nudge bar and vibrate harder than a teenage boy in the shower so it's time to ditch the nudge bar and lights and mount a lightbar up top .

Who has done it and where did you run the cables in. I have a TH so powered tailgate. I was thinking of punching a hole in the rubber grommet but i can't see any other option to get cables up to the roof.

Thoughts

Hi Tim, done a similar install on my Frontrunner rack and found it fairly easy ro run the cable to the lightbar up along the windscreen with some 3M double sided tape (hasn't moved in 4 years). Added some pictures hopefully show this and where it comes up to the Rack (not too obvious).
Also added some small LED lights to the Rack on the other side running the cables for them in the same manner as shown in the previous reply, works well, bit more fiddly running the wires through the side of the car though.
Good luck

Thanks markus , i did toy with running it down the window and after seeing your pics i might just do that. I need to get my windscreen replaced first due to tonnes of stone chips . I also want to move my uhf and phone booster antenna up on the rack as well so might run the lightbar down the windscreen and uhf/cel-fi through the boot

nope. kinda enjoying not having 100kg on the nose and once i can get a lightbar up top and move my antenna's i can sell the chief nudge bar and go back to a totally clean front end . I don't do enough night time driving anymore to warrant a bullbar up front
