Default Auto downchange 5th-4th. Harsh?

2015 V6 Petrol - Hi all. It’s probably just a me thing, but I’ve been noticing what I describe as a harsh downchange from 5th to 4th when I’m slowing down at traffic lights etc. It feels a bit like when you change down in a manual a bit early, and you get that quick slowing down feel (I know, very badly described). Any ideas, any similar experiences, or just a me thing?

Is it at the same time you are braking? It’s probably just the transmission ecu doing it’s thing.

Any slowing down, whether using brakes or just rolling to a stop. But it doesn’t do it all of the time.

Mine started to do this for a while after the Simmo, my guessing is 600 k's of slow going have the ecu some funny ideas about my driving habits, it was most noticeable in carparks. After a battery disconnect a few weeks back, she's back to normal.

How long did you have it disconnected for?

I’ve just done some reading and a few Yanks were saying to put in a new fuse in the fuse box in regards to the transmission. Head scratcher that one. And some where saying that it’s getting used to my driving style. It wasn’t there when I bought it, and I was fanging it a bit, but recently I’ve been pretty easy on her. Who knows.
