On the American Jeep Cherokee Club forum, an owner published a letter from Jeep advising that the PTU on his 2017 TH was covered by warranty for 8 years or 150000 miles even after previous repairs. This warranty covers all models 2014-2017. This must have something to do with the recent patch up recall in Australia. I wonder if we will be offered similar?, we live in hope.
Yeah I saw that stuff on the US forums and been wondering the same - and yeah Dave's probably right there.
We had our PTU replaced "sort-of" under warranty a couple of years ago - ie. FCA coughed up the PTU for free but our dealer didn't bat for us with regard to labour so we paid $600 for the actual work - AND the PTU they fitted isn't the good Part Number!
