Default Dobinsons for WJ

I have got a 2" lift kit from dobinsons and im not real happy. the springs they supplied are fine but the shocks are another matter. First the rear shocks rub on both rear tyres. a common problem i know but this is in normal driving. the bore size increased from stock around 25mm. im only running 245/70R16. too bad if i wanted to go wider. The rear shocks were also far to short, only 15mm longer than stock. The smallest bump in the road and they reach maximum extension and clunck quite badly. These were exchanged for longer shocks and same bore size as stock. Trouble is now they are way to stiff. need to have a kidney belt to drive around.

So i managed to get off road to give them more of a work out. Found a nother problem, the front shocks are not long enough!!!!!!

Anyone delt with Dobinsons and had any of these problems?

Default

i run ranchos,no bell on top of shock just a boot allows me clearance with 265/70-16s,rears are modded zj shocks, the wj shocks didnt have enough length at full travel for 4" plus lift these also run smaller width bushes so the can be packed away from the back tyres when you fit them.i run lovells 2.5" with 2" packers ,the ride is very comfy and corners flatly,it took alot of the wobbly feeling out of the ride also.
