Default JK: GoAnywhere w/Family

So Late 2010 my wife got a nice shiny new 2010 JKU Rubi, for her to drive on the street, and I get to drive it off-road.

Been a slow start.
Came fitted with a ARB front bar though, to get rid of the snow plow.
Early last year it had a small spacer lift (1.75") fitted, with some extended swaybar links, to try and combat the drop when loaded up camping. Also some 1.5" bolt-on wheel spacers to help improve its stance.

Late last year we ordered through SBR Offroad some Bestop HighRock Slider-Steps.
Wife is a bit short, and with bub on the way, getting in ant out of the step-less Rubi was a challenge. The HighRocks drop down for getting in and out, quite low, and fit up when offroad.

Soon after I also installed the AEV Gen2 Snorkel. And promptly lost the Ram head to close scrub on the first trip out with Tyson! Still waiting for a replacement.

Since then small steps, which is frustrating, but the easiest way to get it all together. The total wishlist value was a bit scary!

Rugged Ridge A-Pillar brackets with 35W LED Spots
Rugged Ridge Euro Tail-light guards
SmartDoor door-checks for Front & Rear doors
Synergy Steering Stabiliser flip bracket
Maxxis Bighorn 285/75/17s
PureJeep Evap relocation skid

In waiting:
EVO MFG C-Gussets
EVO MFG LCA Skids
Smittybelt CRES

Ordered/EnRoute
Thermocore/Out4x4 Headliners
Replacement Ram Head
Bright Green SpiderwebShade

Taking the approach to armour up and strengthen the undercarriage, and some useful fitout for making camping and trips a bit eaiser as our daughter grows up.
Eventually I'd like to think something like the Metalcloak Gamechanger kit would slide under, but lets see how far it gets...

Sounds like a good build mate and will be a decent daily driver.... Nice.

They do. Actually supposed to stay up, push down when needed. I've set it to stay down, pull up when not needed.

I'm 5'8, wife is 5'2 and was 5mth pregnant when those were fitted!

Ive put the out4x4 thermo panels in my JK. there great, they have reduced the heat in the cab by 50% & the cab noise by 50% as-well. I have also put on the out4x4 roof rack with Rhino flat platform tray for touring with the Family.
good luck with your build.
cheers piggy.
