So instead of having the recovery points and winch end mounts separate like the Cheif they are simply one piece picking up all the same bolt holes. Given this I don't think the Cheif hooks would faired much better, atleast the hooks would of bent open but the Cheif tow eyes would of probably come loose and been another missile. But without more detailed photos this is just speculation.

Hey Guys,
I just came across this old thread and thought I'd add a few comments.
There are actually quite a few engineering differences between our WK2 Winch Mount and the Uneek version. In addition to FEA testing, we also performed rigorous real world testing for 12 months. That testing lead to many tweaks and improvements. We engineer rated our WK2 Hidden Winch Mount at 10,000lbs, even though we performed FEA and real life testing up to 12,000lbs without any issues.
In regards to our WK2 Recovery Hook and WK2 Recovery Point. They are engineer rated to 4,500kg or 1.5GVM. The limiting factor in our rating is the vehicle mounting point which Jeep rates to 4,500kg. The actual hook (ignoring the vehicle mounting points) is rated to 7500kg MBS and the point is rated to 8000kg MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength).
When using a bridle strap the combined rating is (4500 * 2 * 0.9) 8100kg. For safety we recommend using an 8000kg strap. That way if anything breaks its the strap and not some hard metal part.
I believe the Uneek hooks are rated to 3000kg. In our opinion that is a bit low considering the GVM of the vehicle is (approx depending on model and specs) 2949kg. You can use them together with a bridle strap, but that will only provide a rating of (3000 * 2 * 0.9) 5400kg. Keep in mind that combined rating will drop even more if the pull is off-axis and is overloading one side.
I hope that helps!
Cheers,
Bill
