Believe it or not, me and my old dad drove 2 hours to pick it up after a lot of communication with the old lady owner who had it on a farm. I was going to use an obd2 reader and JScan to diagnose any problems. Got there and realized I had forgotten my phone.
Car started straight up from cold, didn't blow smoke and drove OK, so I rolled the dice. I think that service 4wd thing is ancient history now. We had a ABS/ service 4wd code on one of the WH and JScan picked it up in 5 minutes as a faulty rear wheel sensor. I've also turned off the pesky TPMS on both cars. I've found with JScan I can virtually identify and fix almost anything.

Well, I hope I get some of your luck with my search. I really just need to learn to be patient in my quest for a WG I guess.

Thanks for the info about JScan and your WH too. Maybe I will keep my mind open to some options...

Wouldn't be too far at all if the government would let me come up there.

Is it advertised anywhere?

Guessing yours is the V8 on Gumtree? My days of V8's are behind me now. Thanks for letting me know though. Good luck with the sale.
