Gave the snorkel a real workout this week, Crooked River Tk near Dargo. 31 river crossings in the end including several unexpected and flooded ones on the way out of Talbotville. 3 times had water up near bonnet, rest were mid wheel arch or lower. So nice to just point the nose where I needed it and go .

Hi Bomber, how did the Commander go with door sealing. I know my old Disco series 1 used to leak like a sieve through the door seals in deep water

Nary a drop inside. The WG would have leaked through the rear doors but the XH was fine.

Been lurkin' (apart from a few days off over the past couple of weeks), just haven't had much to say...

Guys, I'm probably gonna sound thick as two bricks (probably because I AM thick as two bricks ) but could the Commander's petrol engines match the diesel engine through a river crossing with a snorkel fitted? I know they don't run ignition leads anymore, and the coil packs are directly on top of the spark plugs, but would they still work under water?
