Default To cut or not to cut

Hey guys i have a small issue i am looking at getting a snorkel for my JK CRD and i don't know who to go with.I can get an AEV or a Safari its just the issues i have are. With an AEV you have one join BUT i would have to cut the bonnet and i am worried about the structural strength of that area. With the Safari the fittings go low and there are a few joins that could leak.Any advice would be helpful.

Do a search on here mate, Safari have had a lot of problems with vibration, AEV is my pic and you don't seem to loose any strength with the bonnet, mines been on for 6 years and have had no problems.

Safari is Junk - AEV is much better and easier to fit, bonnet cutting is easy and comes with a reinforcement bracket.

I have Safari. You should buy the AEV. Mine is fine now but it took a lot of time to stop vibrations plus you have cut the front steel guard and the plastic flair vs for the AEV it's just the bonnet...

I have an AEV snorkel and 100% happy with it. No apparent loss of bonnet strength.

there are literally hundreds on this forum with the Gen1 & Gen2 AEV's and I have never heard of any issues.

also, as stated by thisisadu, the AEV bonnet looks bloody great if all goes wrong
