Exclamation Help. have i broken my transfer case?

hey guys,

In trying to pull a big heavy patrol out of a river i think i broke my transfer case. i herd a little grinding and then i lost drive in my front wheels..

i got a buddy to watch my drive shaft while i spun my rear wheels on the spot (in 4wd low) and it didn't move. that's why i'm assuming its my transfer case????

any help or input would be awesome!

Check the linkage underneath. The clip holding the cables to the transfer case can be a bit of a weak piint.

No in 4wd low 2nd. I struggled to get it into reverse a couple times. Not sure if that's related..

And I don't think it's that cable because i can defiantly chage into 4wd /low.. Just have no drive with the front wheels

Jack a front wheel up put it in 4wd low and see if you can spin the wheel. Wheel shouldn't spin if transfer is good. Don't be gentle either (remembering jacking safety)

Check if the output shaft is turning when in 4wd. More likely to have done the repenza joint than the transfer case.

Bugger. Rubi or Sport? Reason for the question the rubi case can deliver a two wheel drive low range so may not be engaging properly. If a sport then I think something is broke..

Still under warranty?

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .
