Default WG wont go in to park.

I saw a similar thread but wanted to point out the problem in detail.
There is a tiny solenoid that pops out to stop us from putting it to park whilst driwing. In my 2003 this thing has stopped to return back.
Has anybody tried to change this solenoid ?
Im planning on just cutting away som plastic as a redneck solution.
Its the orange thingy in the lower center of the picture , you can se the locking mechanism to the right of it.

I would rip it out, but, I wonder if it would throw any codes, these rigs are a funny beast

I cut the wire on it to stop it engaging, done 100,000km without any problems.
