Default Buying used JKU tips

Hello, as the title suggests, I'm interested in purchasing a used Wrangler JKU. I've seen a few however I am wondering if there are any particular weary things I need to look out for? Any tips on purchasing a used JKU?

Right now, I'm looking towards purchasing a used JKU, preferably diesel, preferably automatic. I currently own a Cherokee KK Limited but it's limited ground clearance, terrible fuel economy and difficulty of finding reasonable priced snorkel and bull bar are the reasons why I am now interested in a wrangler.

Kind regards, John

I'd say if it has been used off road check front ball joints, front wheel bearings and uni joints. Not hugely expensive to replace but will give you negotiation points. I'd also check diff oil for metal just in case. Engine mounts on the diesel also . Good luck

check km's and if it has a tune or provent installed, because the soot and blow by build up in the intake can cause alot of problems.

ball joints will be stuffed regardless, stock ones are shite, just look for bent brackets and make sure the diff housings are straight. mostly everything else suspension wise is not an expensive excercise to upgrade.
