Default Rancho lift installed

Just fitted up the Rancho Aust 40mm lift kit. It actually lifted it to about 45mm, but it might settle some more. Just as well no higher though as I have only 8mm clearance through my garage door now! Used the RS9000 shocks along with the Moab springs and adjustable panhard rod that are all matched by Rancho Aust to each other. The difference is nothing but amazing. Much more controlled ride, sharpened up the steering etc. Best thing is it only took exactly 3 hours from whoa to go. Only hassle is the left hand front top shock mount. It's hidden behind a plastic cover which I ended up cutting away a little so I could get to the top nut. Other than that, too easy!

Don't have any before and after pics, but this is what it looks like now:

Wow! That's so clean!

Looks good. Between settling in & possible allowance for barwork, that would account for the extra mm.

Nice work!! Looks like a great result Clip.

I didnít get mine in this weekend as my new control arms and track bar bracket didnít arrive in time. They should be here early next week, so hopefully will get it in next weekend. Iíll try to be patient...

Lol, won't stay that way for too long unfortunately. Still trying to decide on underbody rust proofing. Always done it before but not sure now. Would love to swap out that massive muffler too 🙂

Looks good clip, as the others said it will settle and drop once you add weight to it.
Looks like a nice height.

I pondered the rust protection for ages too, mine is now over 5 years old I I just stick to keeping it clean and making sure everything is protected with paint after a wash.

Seems to be going well so far.

I wish my springs looked that good. I've noticed the paint is flaking on mine and because I'm always on the beach they are looking decidedly rusty

Side view after a drive and wheel alignment. While I did it to give me some more clearance, it's really transformed the drive for the better. I've backed off the shocks to 5 and that seems to be good. Couple of whoops in a road that I go on often where I'd brace myself for the rebound, I don't even notice now. Got say the difference is night and day. Glad I did it.

Yeh, I'm leaning more and more to not doing it and just making sure I keep it clean like you say. I've hammered the beaches up here for years now, and spending more time inland these days, so salt not the issue that it was for me in the past.

Fingers crossed for the weekend I reckon you'll be happy with the result for sure.
