Okay on the back of the head is a welsh plug,

Stamped into the welshplug and in the center of the welsh plug is a hardened liquid metal, this metal is set at 110 degrees celcius if your motor over heats it melts the liquid metal.

It a good way of identifying a cooked motor.

Im sure if you email zane what type of motor you have he could give you the details you need as the heat seal can sometimes be put in the block as well.

For more details email zane AT allengines .com .au

Yom,

Just becuse the heat seal is melted does not mean that the seller knew of the issue.

A heat seal can melt and a motor still run fine However the seller would of known that it ran hot and should have told me this way i could of done further checks to save heart ache.

However ive spoken to a number of people and the seller has a good wrap so im not going to name and shame him, I just want the seller and future selers of motors to be truthfull with buyers,

"if your motor your selling has ever over heated let the buyer know"

as there could be damage you cant see.

If Jeep Engines hadent of jumped in to save the day then this would of gone to another level, i.e refunds and arguments but Jeep Engines saved the day so as far as im concerned the problem is solved i just hope this seller learns to decalre every overheating point if he ever sells another motor.

As the jeep motors are tuff as nuts, normally if its been cooked it more than likely has stuffed gaskets, but may still run fine, in some extreme cases heads can warp etc this is what Jeep Engines are checking, replacing and fixing for me.

Im not going to name and shame people if the problem gets fixed.
