i wonder if the JK's 6spd would put up with my driving...the old troll as got 270k's on it and all synchros work good as new still hmm
I'll let you know in 4 years as the GQ patrol with 350,000km on it was the only vehicle I've owned where a gearbox lasted longer than 4 years, it was just getting noisy at 7 years when I sold it.

Or either!
don't know much about nulon stuff, i thought they made oil additives and stuff. i was thinking more along the lines of say castrol. or one of the products made by the main oil companies. nulon may be fine, but if it is filled with some of these strange aftermarket additives or oil improvers like teflon and stuff (which is like what i thought nulon did) i would steer clear of it. most vehicle manufacturers specifically bar the use of oil aditives and will void warranties if they find you have used them where a part failed.

dont change the oil. its not the oil.

its because there is no synchro or the synchro needs some spinning to work, in these boxes. They wont go in reverse unless the cogs are lined up. I let the clutch out and back in to fix it. Its how it is designed. Cheaper to build them this way.

Made worse by the crap clutch and fly by wire accelerator.
