And how are you coping with the stock driveshaft having 3" and 4" ? Or is yours a manual?

Yeh mines a CRD manual ..... vehicle feels really good to drive and actually feels like a real car again gear ratio wise - no longer have a diesel on 2800 rev at 100kms an hour on the high way, it's now at 2000rpm at 100km/hour ........
I'm putting the flares (Bushwhacker) on over the weekend. Have you got them coming with your wheels ?

Thats interesting, have often wondered what the diesel's ran at on the highway - my petrol six speed sits on around 1800 at 100km/hr - cant remember exactly, but I do remember commenting how low it was! Then I was driving along a 50km/hr section and decided to see how it was at low engine revs. First car I have ever driven that will quite happily idle in top gear (did this for about a kilometre) then you put your foot on the accelerator and it pulls away, slow at first obviously but no hesitations, coughs or splutters or shuddering. Just smooth acceleration.
Very impressed.

Yeah I did, apparently they should cover the wheels and tyres just right. If not the wheels and tyres should poke out just a little.
I hope you post some pictures up once you have them on!
I think your jeep will look really good.

I was of the understanding that the brake callipers increased in size half way through 2008 and if this is the case you may be out of luck with the stock 16's... there too narrow anyways at just 7"wide and the only 33's you can fit are either MT MTZ Like I have and still rub or go for BGF KM2's in 255x85R16.

Yes, because the market and the powers that be; want less side wall for safer street driving... It actually does help in the high off camber stuff too...
M2C's hope it helps...

The wheels/tire don't seem to be sticking out that far, you got side ick that shows how far out they are?

Measured first night I had em on. 70mm front and 40mm back, for anyone who's thinking about some mags... I spent weeks searching through cyberspace looking for photos of mags with 35's to try to work how much wheels would protrude with what backspacing ??
Hope this one helps people..
