Default Quadra Drive II vs. Quadra Track II

G'day fellow Jeepers.
I have a few questions that I hope you could help me with to purchase a new car.
Recently our WJ has been written off due to hail damage. My wife and I owned the car for 15 years and it was a very sad day for us when we handed the keys to the insurance company few days ago.
I have been looking for replacement and I like the idea of a 2013 onwards Diesel Laredo. We don't need leather seats or any other electronic gizmos that Limited or Overland has.
However our old WJ Limited had a Quadra Drive and I really like this system with the diff lock. I understand that in order to get Quadra Drive II in the Laredo you need to get it together with the Quadra Lift suspension. Is that correct? We do some moderate four wheel driving and usually the car is packed full of camping gear. Also we do from time to time tow a trailer for work so the air suspension could be helpful.
I am acutely aware of the cost of spare parts as this would be our 4th Jeep so I am tossing to decide whether the Quadra Track would be OK for us without the air suspension and will the Quadra Track be sufficient to get me out of trouble in the bush? (Few river crossing and some mud, no rock crawling)
The last question is how can you tell when you looking on carsales.com whether the car has Quadra Drive system? The dealers are not advertising it as such so all I am doing is looking through the pictures to see if it has the two buttons for Quadra Lift next to the gear shifter. There are in excess of 100 cars on carsales.com that may suit so I am looking for ways to pick the right one with out having to make dozens of enquiries.
I really appreciate any reply and thank you in advance. Although this is my first post I am looking to share my experiences with you in the future.

My vehicle has QTII and I’ve not yet needed the locking diff. The brake lock differential system is pretty effective. It has automatically engaged about 5 or 6 times since I’ve owned the vehicle and has done an admirable job each time.

It’s not quite as good as the permanency of a locking diff, given that it uses braking to balance the power to both sides of the axle therefore sucking a bit of power, but for what it is it’s pretty effective

Yep, the QT2 system is fine for light offroading, in really soft stuff or up steep tracks you may find it loses momentum a bit more than having the rear ELSD while the EBD sorts itself out, but otherwise it is good enough.

Some cars will have Quadralift air suspension without the QD2 (ELSD). So looking for the air suspension buttons may not mean it has QD2.

QD2 is standard on the overland, but if it was optioned on a laredo it will have come with the 'Off Road Adventure Pack' which includes bash plates under the front diff and fuel tanks.

Steep heavily rutted tracks where you are picking up wheels often is where you want the QD.

Hi Taprod, I think with what sort of off roading we are doing the QTII should be OK. I have never driven one off road so I appreciate your comment.

Hi BennO,

I have taken a Laredo for test drive this morning and it had a QL and QTII with bash plates underneath. You are right about the buttons don't mean it has a QDII. Over all I liked the car and if we can cut a deal with the dealer I will give him deposit tomorrow.
Thank you for your comment.
