Thanks mate - just what I was after!
Did you have any rubbing at all with those tyres at standard height or after the lift?

On the street I had a bit of scrubbing at full lock before the lift, but no issues so far after I went up 2" (worked out slightly over when installed, but settled back to 2 after a bit)
It scraped a bit on the inner guards if I was waddling around the paddock and went through a dip, no scrapes since. Haven't taken it properly off road since the lift tho. The lift did also change on road handling a bit, not in a bad way, but the extra height means the weight shift in corners are different (and it's easy to light up the inner wheel on a corner since)
The 265s also change the gearing a bit, you'll find at times you're just outside of the power range at 100 to maintain speed, especially on uphills. If it's a long grade I'll often just hit the haul button to stop it forever shifting.
I'm due for new tires at the moment, probably going to go down to 17s when I do anyway, mostly look, partly choices.

Glad to hear that the 265/60R18's work fine with a lift. I know it will play around with the gearing a bit, but the speed limit over here is 110km/hr everywhere and most of the time you sit anywhere between 120-130km/hr on the open road anyway, so it shouldn't be too bad. Might be a bit of an issue when towing though.
I wonder if the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator would work on the KK CRD? I have one for my Commander CRD and it helped heaps with the bigger tyre size change and correcting the transmission shift points, speedo and trip meter accuracy. It even works on my wife's 2007 KJ CRD, even though it doesn't list it as being compatible, so might also work on the KK CRD.
I saw this thread in regards to the KK Petrol, where it is confirmed that the tyre size change component doesn't work and it also mentions that it doesn't work on the CRD at all: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/....php?p=1615699
When I pick up the KK in a couple of weeks I will give it a go and report back with the results.

As I said, haven't tried it offroad to see if there's scraping, but no issues waddling around jumping kerbs and stuff so far, I'm not expecting any nasty surprises when I leave the pavement. Pulling U-turns and stuff doesn't cause any scrapes like it did before the lift. I did about 50k kms unlifted on them, so it's not like it was scrubbing badly anyway.
On the 265s speedo isn't that far out anyway, basically if I line the needle up between the 60mph I'm sitting on 100kmh, so you're talking about 3kmh out. I usually sit with the needle edged between the 60mph and 100kmh and haven't been pinged by the overheads yet. (your mileage may vary...)
Pic is after the lift has settled down after about 6 months.
(don't mind the front bar damage, wrote off a Lancer on the freeway...)

Bloody pesky little cars eh?.... R.I.P. Lancer!!
Thanks for that, bloody helpful information. Given that this KK is not going to see any hardcore off-road action, I reckon it will be sweet judging by your experiences. Not too fussed about the Speedo accuracy, but the Hypertech Speedo calibrator does a great job at correcting the transmission shift points as well. See how it goes.
Is yours a CRD as well?

Just on the awning, I have a 2.5 width and a 3m roll out part. I think the 3 M x 3 M would be too long as the 2.5 x 3M (extendable part) is just right. From the rear hatch, not overhanging the back at all it extends, well, 2.5 M, which is a little past the front passengers window/door. Not visible from inside the Jeep from either driver or passenger.
I'm very happy with mine and I have the extra side curtain to add if I need more shade to either side or extend it even further.
