After advice from Bill, I decided to tap extra threads & add 2 bolts to my AEV carrier. I hadn't heard anything, but apparently may be prone to failure - as one of the crew on a DBOR outing can testify.

Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of this on the highway, so better safe than sorry...

Fairly easy to install?

Have found CSE offroad has it on ebay very well priced i got my seat covers from them. That your supplier?
I got mine from Quadratec in the US but sbroffroad also sell them as well...Installation is dead easy as it just straps onto the rollbar with velcro straps...It's sturdy and doesn't inhibit the freedom top if you want to take them off on a sunny day....I ran the UHF antenna along the rollbar down the back to the tail-gate..

You can get the console from here:

Did you go for a heavy duty clutch or OEM?
Thinking about a new clutch myself, what was the mileage when you replaced yours?

i got a poly one from DBOR. Feels sooooo nice now.

I had just notched over 100,000 kms on the original. car has had most of its life running 37s with 4.88 gears.

Like I said the clutch looked fine but it was the thrust bearing that was rooted. So seeing it was all out I decided to change the clutch so it doesnt have to be done again for a long time.
