Any older car will give you grief at some point. Hard to get any answers off this lot. Check out the sticky threads there's a good write up on kj crd's. lostjeep.com is awesome to. We only just got our jeep and it's got a few issues. But it's us allover and i bloody love it. It's a great shopping trolley for the wife and seems more than capable off road. Parts are easy and cheap enough if you don't mind waiting a few weeks for them. You can get them quicker if you go through an aus jeep dealer but you'll pay through your teeth.

Two thing to check, first now that its turned cold are you allowing the glow plug light to go out before you turn the starter motor? Do you have a check engine light on? You could have a bad glow plug but it usually generates a code and check engine light. Second, it might be a bit of air in the fuel head that can cause the same symptom, just bleed the fuel head valve as per the owners manual and make sure you pump till fuel flows with no air in it, then tightn the locknut.

I second what Glend said,

Could be air in the fuel line, I have also heard of the fuel filter tank getting a small crack in it.I take it the car has been serviced regularly? Also, have the sensors been cleaned, especially the boost sensor on the inlet manifold.

you made feel bad so i made a donation to the forum site. I didn't mean that in a bad way more of an observation. I'm completely new to diesel and 4x4, the search function for this site doesn't work on my phone, nor does the workshop pdf and the workshop manual pdf won't work on my lap top either. And unless you already know what to search for Google isn't much help. It's all new and frustrating and I'm used to old holdens and fords that every tom, dick and harry has.
