Default Harvey Bay??

My girl friend and i will be making a trip down to the bay in the next month or so and im trying to work out if i should drive the chero down or go in her nice comfortable car.
Whats the wheeling like in and around Harvey bay?
Id prefer not to leave my centipedes on for the trip because the noise would drive us crazy but if the weeling is to good for stock tyres i probally will.

Hervey Bay is a good spot to do a lot of beach driving for which AT's will suffice. There's some knarly stuff around but best off talking to the local 4WD club for info there.
From memory there's only one AJOR member, super jeep, that lives in the Bay (Maryborough)
.

Hervey Bay has turned into an urban sprawl of a debacle and you're a long way from anywhere.I used to do the markets there when I lived on the Sunshine Coast and never got a really good vibe from the place. The people were nice enough but the whole atmosphere was just a little lacking.Just my opinion though I think I'd feel very isolated there, nearest town being Maryborough which seems awfully quiet.I think if you look a little further south, from Gympie down, there's just a nicer vibe.
