Thumbs down Fuel condenser? What fuel condenser? Diesel.

I have been reading about how the fuel condenser is in a vulnerable position in all JK Wranglers, but I just crawled under the car and it is not even there.

I am assuming that diesel models do not have fuel condensers?

Red face Fuel Evap canister

The fuel condenser is a box that is mounted under the car to collect evaporated petrol from the fuel tank and condense it from vapour back to liquid.

Well at least that is what I am assuming people are always calling Evaporation Canisters.

Default Thanks!

Thanks a lot for clarifying that. I was beginning to wonder if I had ripped it off somewhere along the 650km dirt track between Katherine and Gove.

And that means one less "Jeep Thing" to worry about.

yep - evap can/condenser = same thing. no, desiels dont need one as its not a highly volitile liquid (ie you can warm it up and it wont easily change to gasious form)
