Do you have to press the clutch in to start yours? If so it might be a faulty switch, I had this problem about six months ago. Try raising and lowering the pedal with the key turned. Hope this helps mate.

What do you mean by raising and lowering? Does the actual peddel move up and down? or do you mean pushing it in and out?

If your battery has just been replaced check they have tighten the terminal connections properly - and check earth connections at the other end of the battery lead - - -

JoeJeep means pressing in the clutch pedal in and out as you may have a faulty clutch interlock switch.

when you press in the pedal it strikes an interlock switch to give a permissive to start the engine. its a safety feature to prevent dumbies from starting up in gear with the clutch engaged

pressing in the pedal a few times may free up the switch. stick your head under the dash and push the pedal in by hand and make sure the switch is actuating. on my model there is a fuse that can be installed or removed (cant remember which) that bypasses the switch. your owners manual should mention it

Check the fuses, mine did this when fuse #12 blew which is a master relay.
