Spend some time resolving your leaks from the intake pipe that goes from the filter to the turbo. The PCV input is in the driver's side just before the turbo, these can call all sorts of grief.

I also found my fuel filter leaked at the water sensor, because someone had cut the O rings off with a knife and damaged the groove. If your filter is leaking then check this out.

yep install a Oil Catch can this will stop oil going through the turbo then into the intake. Just make sure its a good one like a Provent 200 by Mann and Hummel as i got caught out by buying a cheaper knock off one.

Clarky have yu tried the Appcar yet.??

i have tried two different bluetooth ELM's and now one usb Elm but i cannot get any of them to talk to the car. The computer can see and connect to the ELM but that is it. Both bluetooth came up with a couple of connection errors so the appcar would not connect properly but the usb ELM showed 100% across all the protocols but still would not talk to the car.!!

any idea's.?

seem more like a waste of $50 for the app at this stage.!

cheers

I used this Vgate and it worked okay but limited due to being Bluetooth.

I tried this ebay usb one but it was the wrong version (Version 1.5) and wouldn't connect https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/All-OBD-...72.m2749.l2649

Will probably get http://www.obdlink.com/sxusb/ like Majiklister

My laptop is windows 8

Win10 here too. Well i thought i had it working with the test interface showing 100% across all the protocols but no. Seems like i will have to go buy a better dongle. USB seems the better choice so i'll go ask the App guys what they recommend. All config details are correct, com port, baud rate, etc all good but no details coming back from the car.

DO you have the CRD too Majiklister.? I know CLarky does nut he's not tested his yet. I am paranoid now that there is something with the CRD that will not work... maybe i need another beer.!!

Did you get access to the tire size change function.? That is all i really thought to use it for

cheers
