Default Random vibration

Hey guys, recently went for a trip up cooloola beach in my hemi and it is now getting a solid vibration under acceleration, the harder I accelerate the harder it vibrates, its good at cruising speeds. kind of seems like going over a extreme rumble strip at times. It was only around 2.5k revs and 4k revs before and I thought it was just vibration from the new exhaust but now it has gotten worse.
I jumped under and had a look to see if there was any play if the drive shafts but there is none. I am stumped. any ideas? thank you in advance!

usually the rubber boot is torn and there is no grease left in it.

They fail along with the front diff bushings, push up on the front diff centre, if you get movement they are shot also.

Well that could be it! I just replaced the front diff bushings so it might need replacing as well. Still open for things to check out, but that sounds pretty solid idea

Hey Mate
To be clear ...
Is your vibration happening at those engine rpm in any gear
Or only top gear?

If it's only in top gear then it's most likely in your drivetrain
Front prop shaft as already suggested
Tailshaft & front CV shafts
Rear differential pinion bearing
Can you feel it through the steering wheel?
Then it's likely an issue in the front end
Get the apprentice to jump around in the car whilst the vibration is present
and ask them to feel where it is most noticeable

If it's vibrating at those specific engine rpm then other things to check include:
Exhaust system mounts and connections
Engine & transmission mounts
Harmonic Balancer

The under heavy acceleration could mean loose stuff anywhere really
Hope that helps a bit
Cheers

Hey mate, appreciate the info! It is coming through the gear stick and the steering wheel, it is in all gears and now throughout the rev range just when under a bit of load. took it for another drive yesterday arvo trying to figure things out and its all through the rev range now, just under acceleration. checked engine mounts, just waiting for this sunburn to heal up and I am going to jump under and try find out whats wrong, hoping it is something easy and simple like a CV on the front shaft!
