[QUOTE=davesta;1098678]Jks 1 inch extended shackles in the rear. Put them in on Tuesday. I started with ome 2 inch lift and have added the rear shackles and front spacers to net approx 3 inch lift. I know the shackles aren't exactly legal in theory, but i'll live with it. They aren't so long that they are very noticeable. In the couple of days i've had the shackles installed i haven't really noticed any difference in the ride

Thanks m8, i'm lookin to milk a bit more height outta my 2" lift so good to know. Sounds like u'll b ready 2 hit the Toolangi tracks as soon as those Muddies r fitted. Good fun up there!

WELL DONE! looks almost identical to mine when i first got it. white XJs Rule!

now start hacking - you have a lot of work to do!

as for mine: ordered up taillights, door handles and mirrors from a 2500. also designed some custom sliders for Blackjack to fab up for me. brakelines s/b here anyday but looks like will be awhile without a proper rear driveshaft (still on order). at least it goes down the road to the shops - the looks are hilarious. one old couple asked if i wanted to borrow their step ladder to load my carton at the bottle shop. maybe i should mount a basketball hoop to the liftgate

Decided to test out the townhouse backyard for suitability as a local 4wd park.

Rock Crawling test passed,

The ******** mud pit was pretty extreme ..... and XJ recovery was needed.

Nearly put the 6 new sand mats to use for extra traction .....

But they werent needed for final recovery ....

Decided on a $500 engine and suspension upgrade tho ......
