That doesn't matter, as it occurs when you aren't moving, that rules out the output side of the gearbox and the rest of the transmission. Otherwise it would only occur when moving.
Why don't you try unbolting the slave cylinder (just let it hang there) and pull the leaver right back (maybe use some tape to hold it), then start the jeep and see if the noise is still there.
What this would do is pulling the release bearing off the clutch spring altogether so it wont spin at all. That would be a pretty conclusive test. Just be careful the leave doesn't fall of the pivot ball, and do not press the clutch peddle - that will pop the piston out.
