Default JK - Bushwacker Flares

Fitted the Bushwakers yesterday....

Job took all day. It was fiddly and annoying.
Give me a suspension lift to fit any day !
Read the instruction sheets carefully because there's screws and bits and pieces everywhere.

It basically involves you pulling all of the plugs out of the inner guards.

Then you rip off the guards with your hands (snapping all of the factory clips).
After that you drill out the plastic rivets and separate the inner guards for reuse.
You also have to cut the end off one piece of the front guards and also cut and file back the indicators as they are molded to a big piece of square plastic.
I used a hacksaw and then filed away all shavings and edges.

You bolt (front) and clip (rear) outer rims for the Bushwakers and then re-clip in the original inner guards.
You then bolt on the outer Bushwaker guards and screw in the inner guards to the outer guards.
This involves undoing and redoing up bolts and screws to get three pieces of plastic flare to line up. PAIN IN THE ARS !

All in all - Finish product is awesome. Product is great just very annoying to fit. My hands are cut to shit as the edges on everything are sharp.

Also I had to touch up the some spots under front and rear factory flares where they'd rubbed through to metal. I used a tin of black rust protection paint.

Also note I bought NON-PAINTED flares.

if you're going to get rid of your factory flares let me know (depending on the condition of them of course)

Hey JAG,

This is Da_Sherps, thought it was time I got inventive with an account name haha. Flares look great! How well do your wheels sit inside of them?

They're only the outer flare mate, ... they're missing the inner flare - posted picture behind the Jeep. If you still want them let me know and I'll post a picture ....
