thanks guys, I really didnt know what sort of comments to expect. I've done the whole "i drive a 4wd" thing and out of the 3 years I had it, only went four wheel driving twice. The patriot can still go soft roading (if ever i go camping) has enough power to pull a small boat/jetski and 4wd for slippery boat ramps. Dad still has his lifted '97 XJ I can use for more serious 4wd'ing and towing.

DUB is the reference to 20 inch or larger wheels and has since become a modifying scene in the USA. There is a magazine called DUB which covers the urban car culture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DUB_Magazine

The battery system is still standard and an optima battery with billet aluminium holder and fancy terminal it is part of the next round of modifications. There is 1/0 gauge wiring and I have upgraded all the earths to try and minimise voltage drop.

I've got a pair of 7 inch Clarion LCDs coming to go in the headrests and the subs have been changed from 2x twelves to 4x eights in a lot more showy boot install

Nice, most impressed with your modification of the door speaker mounts to tilt the axis of the speaker. Nice fibreglassing skills. Must take some kahones to cut out a panel from your brand new door.

Cheers

Sorry bud but that really looked like fibreglass that you were using to create the chamber for the door skin. I must be seeing things!

Can I ask what you do for a living?

Audio perhaps?

cheers

To be honest the 20" chrome wheels don't do anything for me, but what you've done inside is nothing short of amazing! The best thing about the Clarion HXD2 has to be its understated appearance given the hardware inside. Everything looks so tidy I really can't see it being much of a target for the common thief, they'd be more likely to jack it up and just take the rims!

I'd love to see the update boot install with the eights, the common square box with two twelves theme is quite at odds with the quality of the rest of the install
