Premhk - thats a most impressive snorkel - I never realized this topic could raise so many varying opinions. I'm torn - will ask the guys at Extreme 4x4 in Mona Vale to see what they have the most experience fitting.

Cheers!

Take your pick - personally I see very little difference between them on a purely visual basis.

I see a huge difference, Ones Green, and the other one is red. lol......

Pipes does have the old stlye intake on his, the new one is a larger more oval intake. Both snorkels sep water in the same way with a vortex action in the intake hat, both can have different intake hats put on, if you require more dust protection.

I remember when the original AirFlow one was being tested, it had to be changed at the airbow connection to make sure the airflow was not lower than standard intake, not sure if the Safari has had that done.

I have the Airflow on my V6, made a huge difference to it.

i have a prototype Airflow on my KJ and honestly even the prototype finish is exellent as far as snorkels go, As far as functionality is concerned there really should be no difference, As far as loyalty is concerned i would allways recommend Airflow as they were the guys that had the guts to make a snorkel for us, Safari fobbed us off for years before they saw that there was a market for a KJ Snorkel

clean lines, just noticed no curve around side indicator like airflow.

Just looking at the safari side on, one thing strikes me...
Starts off as a small diameter at the head, and expands as it runs down to the guard.
This equals loss of air speed, and subsequently loss of ram air effect.
