96 XJ - what's it worth?

One of the blokes at work is going to sell his 96 XJ. He's just replaced the head gasket (big cost) and has decided to get something else. From what he tells me it's a bit average, the driver’s door is dodgy (have to lift to close), air con doesn’t work, some rattles etc... he's no mechanic but thinks that's about it for bad stuff.

Any ideas, I think he should put it on EBay.
(rego is almost out & it's done just under 200'000 k's)

$1500.00 .... you can buy a really good 96 for not much more now day's, there's a couple on ebay for around the 1k mark that don't even get a bid

He was thinking he'd get about 1K... failing that it's the wreckers. I'll let him know, thanks.
