Hello peoples,
Does anybody know if a Nokia E-51 can be used as a mobile modem??
Reason I ask is, we have been having some problems with our land line. For quite some time now, on and off, we get bad static and drop-outs on our phone and trouble with internet connection dropping out and hooking up constantly
. I have broadband ADSL by the way.
Once more, "they" fixed it, although the second last technician they sent said "the wiring at the junction box at the end of your street is severely corroded. Because 'they' used a curtain type of insulator, way back when, it actually causes corrosion and these types of problems blah blah blah etc etc...".
So, I'm expecting to be complaining again in a few months time
.
I know I can just buy a dongle/usb thingy, and sign up to some mobile broadband plan, but if I can use my phone I'll just bundle something with that.
I'm hoping mobile will be more reliable than ADSL.
Any one have anything interesting to add?????
cheers
