Intersting idea...if you were getting an engine as good as this (600+hp) would be good to go through the build process:
Usually when you buy a car you expect someone else to build it for you. But, for a price, GM is letting some Chevrolet Corvette buyers build the car's engine themselves.
I guess its one step further from seeing your car being put together at the factory. Alot of hi end car makers do that. If it were Jeep I wouldnt take up the opportunity to build my own engine. It would most likely void my warranty.
