Default Attempting to resolve issue on AJOR

Clarification:

There seems to be a lot of betatement going on between members, this needs to stop. There have been a couple of new moderators added to try and clean this problem up. Their actions as moderators are not pointed at being personal. They are moderating in a fashion to get this back to where it is supposto be. Informative and questioning.........NOT giving other members a hard time and belittleing them.

If you feel you have a better solution, please feel free to pm me or ring me on 0411524277 as I am open to any solution to this current issue as I am sick and tired of it affecting such a good forum.

Jimmy

I think its great that your being pro active in trying to cull the crap out of here. The "rant" threads were always good for banter cause most of it is just socialising and piss fartin around and forgotten about the following day. The Chat room is also good for that kind of shit talk. You dont need to change anything really JB. There are plenty of places on AJOR for people to go to say what they want to. Even PM's.
Cheers.

Internet forums are a place for individuals to post their personal opinions on certain issues. Not ALL opinions on all issues are going to be the same.Does this mean that a moderator can delete a comment that he/she does,nt agree with?If i post a comment on an issue that a moderator considers negative can he/she delete it because they only want positive content?People should be able to view comments on issues both positive and negative and make an informed decision.I advertise this forum on my rear window daily and appreciate the knowledge and input offered by some very experienced Jeepers.I,d hate to think that a personal agenda could compromise an otherwise unique AUSTRALIAN way of life.

Moderators on Ausjeep are intended to keep the peace, ie prevent slander, belittling and other said acts towards other members. They need to be neutral when it comes to what you have suggested Mitch.

We have only a small amount of rules on Ausjeep which I hope people read when they joined.

Got to agree Mitch. While we certainly don't want the personal attacks, editing out negative Jeep comment is not on either.

It has never been said the "negative Jeep comments" would be edited, deleted or modderated.

Like MREJ said, there is a place for everything on AJOR.

Posting your "personal feelings" over and over on every thread is not the place.

If a potential buyer, or a new member asks about problems with a particular model, or part.......sure, you can give feedback.

There are thousands of AUSJEEP members, and if we all posted our negative personal feelings, there'd be no room for anything else!

Let's keep this place fun and informative, that's what it's about isn't it?
