Default Buying Advice - WJ Grand Cherokee?

Hey guys..a mate of mine is looking at buying a WJ Grand Cherokee and is wondering what to look for.

I have looked for links with Buying advice/thinks to check but cant seem to find any.

Does anyone have useful info about what he needs to check? common issues etc etc..

thanks

Heaps of info here... tke a search.

One thing, check to see weather the window regulators have been replaced... they will go eventually.

Cheers

As mentioned, you are on the right site for info, I researched pretty hard here before buying. I did print out a couple of checklists from other sites before inspecting mine so I'll link you to them when I get home. Off the top of my head:
  • Coolant smell from heater = leaky heater core, has it already been replaced
  • Check CV boots for wear
  • check for front brake rotor warpage, brake gently at any speed to check
  • Does it have black or silver brake calipers, silver are less prone to warping the rotors
  • If it's a Limited do all the electric gizmos like heated seats etc still work
  • Is it Quadra DRIVE (not Quadra Trac), if so extra traction offroad
