850watt electric replacement for both stock fans in the JK CRD

Looks awesome, but $1,800 Euro is a bit crazy...

I am sure it could be made for less using a similar elec fan, and ideally with a fancy fan controller that allows for variable speeds.

Yeah I cant see why it couldn't be made for maybe $500 or so?

What about 850W? too much continuous draw on the alternator?

I can't imagine it would draw 850w continuously, that would def be a prob.

There would be a fan controller installed that would control the fan's speed, only at full speed would it draw max wattage, in this case 850w. But I would think turning such a fan at 50% speed or even less is prob adequate to keep the engine cool in normal conditions.
