Not just boxing on the rails but every cross member which was made 50% wider as well as being boxed. Plus a whole engine cradle will make it stiff enough for the double mount at the front. It will replace the XJ once it is finished and take over the towing of the camper on touring and camping duties rather than any hard core offroading. Would have started with a JK had that been my plans for this build to keep solid axles front and rear. Just don't do that sort of offroading anymore as been offroading for 35 years! Gee that makes me feel old all of a sudden.

Glad you went to the trouble of following it here as a real shame what happened there after it was sold off to the magazine company. Don't think they liked the competition!

Making the most of our checked luggage limit coming back home through the US! Still can't believe we brought all this home plus our luggage which varied from thermals for -18*C in Taos to snorkelling gear and a dinner jacket for the cruise in the Caribbean!
About a 1000 stainless fasteners and three more body hammers as I don't seem to have enough already. Custom made bead roller dies too to match the beads on the cab.
Had to partially disassemble the 27" beadroller as it weighs 84 lbs on its own and were only allowed up to 50 lbs per item. Tooks the shafts, dies, handles etc out and got it 0.5 lb over the limit but they let it through! Another two of the other 4 bags were just over too, but the last one was under enough to get it all excepted.

Thanks for checking in guys.
My father recently passed away so have to do deal with the settling of his estate and everything that involves with who gets what etc.
Also clearing out 60 years of stuff from living in the same house has been quite a task, and then finding somewhere to put what I want to keep. I only have a small 2 bedroom place on a subdivided block, so not a lot of room!

I rented some storage space for a few months whilst getting rid of stuff and finding space at home.
